Has the evangelical movement (Christianity on steroids) burned itself out?

I think it burned out in the early 90's; however, people today say it is becoming more dangerous. I disagree; the Christian movement was hurt very badly by the televangalist scandals in the late 80's early 90's. Though many would say that the Christian population is on the rise I would say that the secular-Christian movement is on the rise (they take bits and pieces of the Bible as truth). As far as Protestant Evangelical Christians we are on a decline. True the "Christian Movement" and "Religious Right" is still ongoing but I don't think it is the same Christian Movement of the 90's. Belief in God will defintely continue as long as me and my fellow fundies are around.
