Sadie Hawkins (Sadie goes to the circus) ?

I am a junior cl officer and we put on the Sadie Hawkins dance. The theme has not yet been decided but this is one of the two picks that I think will win. So what I need are a few circus costume/couple ideas (or even group ideas if you have the time to think of any). I'm not talking about clowns and balloons. I'm talking about "Britney Spears", "ringlreader", "lion tamer", "extreme and breath-taking" excitement...kind of circus. Thanks for your time and all your answers.
